The Monson Lions Club was chartered in 1955. Since then, the members have been working to improve the quality of life for citizens of the local communities and around the world. Lions club members are all volunteers and all the money that is raised by the events that they host goes to their causes. New members are always welcome to join our clubs.
Local Lions Clubs are all part of the International Lions Club which is a global nonprofit organization that is based in Chicago Il and was established in 1917. In 1925 Helen Keller requested that the Lions be the Knights of the Blind. That started the Lions quest to aid people with vision impairments. Our causes have expanded to include hearing impairments, diabetes, childhood cancer, the environment, hunger and disaster relief.
